Bid-e-Majnoon

Participatory performance, August 2026. Performed at the Kapolcs festival at the Valley of Arts, co-funded by the European Union’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) Programme.

Inspired by the weeping willow trees that have shaped the visual memory of the Valley of Arts in Budapest, the artist transforms into a living circular mirror, framed by willow branches that fall around it like hair. Moving among the audience, the performer creates an intimate encounter between reflection and participation, seeking to build a bridge between two cultures through the symbolic connection between the Hungarian Szomorúfűz and the Persian Bid-e-Majnun (Weeping Willow).
